Parked in October 2008

(February 22, 2009) Reviews can be scarey, but, I parked a brand new Acura TL there in october for a week. I did remove all items from the car, including glove box and trunk. I doubled check my mileage when I returned and no problems at all. The car was pulled up front and ready for pickup. I will plan on parking there again in April 2009. I also left only the valet key. My recommendation: just take precaution and remove ALL articles.

I had a similar experience to one of the other reviews. Left my car for a week at the Newark lot. When we returned my passport radar detector was missing. According to the claim manager its company policy to let the employees steal anything left in the car because on the back of the ticket (which no one reads) it says the company is not responsible for items left in the car. This is a completely unacceptable way to run a business but they don't seem to care. You would be much better off to park your car yourself in the official airport lot (this is what I will do in the future) then use these criminals.

Never had a problem....BUT

(April 13, 2008) I have used Avistar several times over the last 7 years. I never checked my mileage or paid much attention to the details of my car but I will not park there again after readig the reviews posted here.

They joyride your car

(December 27, 2007) Amazing. I got my car back with a bunch of miles run up on it. What's going on with this place? Is the perk of working there that you take the customer's cars home with you and joyride?
Cons: Caveat emptor. If you ignore all the comments here, then write down your mileage at drop off and have a manager person sign it to verify. Maybe that will keep them from driving it off the lot while you are gone.
