SHUTTLE INFORMATION: The Howard Beach Station AirTrain operates between the Central Terminal Area and Long Term Parking Station A or Station B every 4-8 minutes between 6AM and 11PM, and every 12 minutes between 11PM and 6AM. From Station A or B to the Central Terminal Area takes about 8 minutes. Please allow at least 30 minutes to reach your terminal.

(July 14, 2009) When you calculate what time you need to be at the airport, make sure you ADD AT LEAST 1/2 AN HOUR if you use the long term parking lot/air train combo. For example, you have a 6pm flight and you need to be checked in 60 min before take off; don't say, "no big deal, I'll get there at 5, park my car, yada-yada-yada." You'll be freaking out on the air train platform. To make a long story even longer. I have used this lot several times and will try others in the future. Too far away, too much hassle, takes too long, too expensive, too much schlepping (luggage).
