great place to park

This is the only place to park when using Ohare

(November 18, 2009) The online reservation system is flawless. (And a bargain!) The parking garage is secure and clean. The hotel staff is friendly and the shuttle bus drivers are courteous and helpful. This is the second time I have used this service provided by a fine hotel and I will park here whenever I travel in the future.

A Mixed Experience

(November 11, 2009) We arrived for parking an hour late due to unanticipated traffic problems and our international flight was loading in 20 minutes. Crowne Plaza's van was stuck in traffic but, without prompting, they paid for a taxi to get us to the airport quickly. No questions asked. Upon our return, we called for pickup and they said they would be there in 15 minutes. Forty minutes later they arrived with a van already filled. Once back at the hotel, we waited 20 minutes for checkout. Clearly, the time delay on our return seemed excessive but it appeared to be due to a glut of returnees rather than anything Crowne Plaza could have avoided.

Parking and Stay

(November 11, 2009) The parking was very easy to manage for our trip. We were able to get to and from the airport by shuttle in a timely manner with courteous and helpful drivers. Our wait time on the return was less than 15 min. We also stayed at the hotel which was not only convenient and comfortable but also a fun experience having some time to relax in the lounge after the late evening arrivals.

Overall favorable experience

(November 8, 2009) Parking situation worked out well in general. Plus points: competitive rates, efficient shuttle to/from the airport, pleasant service by staff. Things that could be done better: better signage directing people to parking areas (especially if they are there just for airport parking, not guests of the hotel - something that says "airport parking" would be great!), and shuttles that run every 20 minutes rather than every 30 minutes. All in all, though, worth the money; I'll be a repeat customer.

Cost efficient parking

(November 5, 2009) I've used this service numerous times now. It suits our needs just fine. There has been minor issues getting in & out of the automated gate the last couple of times but otherwise the service is good.

(November 3, 2009) My fiance & I went on a trip & parked at Crowne Plaza for 5 days. Everything went great! The bus was on time, both ways. They dropped us off at our terminal & were right on time picking us up from the airport. The access to the car was terrific. The staff was excellent as well. Any time we travel out of O'Hare, we will definitely use them again!

Parking at Crowne Plaza Hotel

(October 29, 2009) This parking deal is a good deal. There is a bit of a walk from the main desk at the hotel (where you must check in and pay) to the parking lot. The car is parked outdoors. The car was in good condition when I returned. The staff was friendly.

I got impatient waiting for the bus on my return but finally decided that if I was really in a burning hurry I could take a cab. By that time, the bus arrived and I was back at my car in no time. (October 22, 2009) - Once I found the hotel and understood the process of paying, it all went fine. Front desk folks were great. - The rate was excellent, saved a bundle over ORD parking. But I wish you wouldn't charge for a whole day when the last day was only 3-4 hours. - I had trouble at ORD locating the bus/shuttle area. But now that I know, that problem won't happen again. The ORD people didn't help much, and all your voice message would have to say is 'located across road from Hilton hotel'. _ YES, I would use this service again.

(October 21, 2009) With a gate to get in and out of the parking area, I feel my vehicle is safe. Although I had a little trouble getting in because the gate was not opening and the machine was not giving me a ticket and I had to call for help. Everything went well after that and I will continue to use this parking lot.

(October 20, 2009) I had to stop at the front desk to figure out where to park, but after that it was easy. The shuttle was easy to use, although the pickup on the return was 15 minutes behind schedule it was no problem. I would use this lot again.

(October 20, 2009) It was a great experience - convenient, simple and fast. The only drawback was the frequency of the shuttle - unless you arrive on the hour or half past the hour, you have to wait for about 30 minutes. Once you take care of that, it is quite convenient and better than the expensive long term lot at O'Hare.

(October 15, 2009) My Mother and I travelled on Friday, 10/9/2009 and, in the interim of trying to catch the shuttle, my Mother had misplaced her purse. Needless to say, it was not a good start to our trip. However, the staff at the front desk was very helpful, and the shuttle driver tried to assist in searching within the luggage to no avail. When we reached one of our connections, I had a voice mail from the Crowne Plaza's front desk associate, Irena, advising me that my Mother's purse had been found. It was quite a relief and we were able to continue on to enjoy our trip. I have never parked off site to get to the airport in the past but, from now on I will and recommend the Crowne Plaza parking services to others.

(October 14, 2009) The parking was very cost-effective and nothing happened to my vehicle while I was gone. Furthermore, the airport shuttle was very convenient. The only thing that was confusing is what to do when you first get there. For all those who aren't sure, just go through the gate and take a space. It is a little "disconcerting" since they have up $17-$20 per day when it was around $7.50, but at the end when you return and you pay at the counter, they'll give you a barcode to use to scan your way out. (There is a kiosk that you can use near the parking lot on the inside, but I just went to the counter) I was gone 9 days, so the cost racked up, but for a shorter stay I'd recommend it.

(October 1, 2009) We had a great experience parking at the Crowne Plaza for 4 days while on a trip to Houston, everyone was pleasantly friendly and helpfull from the hotel front desk to the shuttle driver. We will certainly do it again!! It only took 25 mins from landing to being on our way home how is that for convenience?

(September 30, 2009) The airport parking area needs to have more directions . . . once we saw the hotel, there were no signs directing us to the airport parking. Then when we got back, it took the shuttle 45 mins. to pick us up, even tho the shuttle was supposed to be there at the 1/2 hour and the hour, it came at 15 mins. past the hour. The good things were our car was safe and the price was right.

(September 28, 2009) Parking our car at the Crown Plaza Hotel near O'Hare Airport was easy and very economically priced. The only downside was not really an issue, but it was our arrival time. We got to the bus pick up area at the airport at around 4:45 PM and must have just missed the bus and had to wait about 25 minutes for the next bus to come, but other than that we had no complaints at all.

(September 23, 2009) Departure: I got there and the staff was friendly and gave good information.. I got there quickly to my destination. Arrival: I was not aware that you had to go to the building with the red structure.(Across from the Hilton) I called to make sure where I was supposed to go and I was told "Door 2 level 2" This is was incorrect... It door 2 level 1 (street level) this caused me to miss the first bus...I was not too happy. But with the price, and now being experienced, I should not have a problem in the future. I will use them again.

Inconsiderate

(September 23, 2009) Upon arriving back at 12:30 a.m., I noticed I had a flat tire. I went in and asked the front desk for help.There were three men employees standing around talking. They all said they didn't know how to change a tire and went back to talking. I asked the young man behind the counter if he could call someone for me and I went outside to get my things out of the car to reach the tire. After 45 minutes, my sister went in to check on someone coming and he never called anyone. My sister and I figured out how to change it.

(September 21, 2009) When I came back into town at midnight, I had a flat tire. Fairly new car, so must have picked something up in parking lot, as it wasn't flat when I parked. When I asked the three men at the desk for help, they informed me that they did not know how to change a tire. I asked for them to call someone. They did not.My sister and I figured it out ourselves. Could have cared less. Too busy talking.

Great choice for off-site parking

(September 10, 2009) This was my first time using an offsite parking facility. The price can't be beat at the Crowne Plaza Hotel for off0site O'Hare parking. The hotel staff was courteous and the payment transaction flawless when we returned. Make sure you have your computer confirmation sheet! The only minor downside is that the CPH shuttles only run every half an hour (on the half hour from the hotel), and that if you don't know where the shuttle bus pick-up area is at O'Hare, you will find yourself scrambling around the airport thinking it must be right at baggage claim by the taxis(It's not...it's across the road that loops around the arrivals level, right outside of the Hilton Hotel). Now that we know the ropes, we'll be more at ease with the set up. Just be prepared for some possible wait time for your ride. One other clarification on what to do when you drive directly into the CPH lot from Balmoral Road...the shuttle departs from the covered awning area at the FRONT door of the hotel, not from the covered awning area that is right by door on the parking lot side. Otherwise, we would definitely use the CPH again, particularly for longer trips!

NOT TOO BAD

(September 9, 2009) Easy and convenient. Only negative was that I had to call twice from the International terminal. First time I was told 20 minutes but called again after 35 and then shuttle finally arrived. Other than that, I would use them again.

Excellent Once Learned

(September 7, 2009) We found that the parking was convenient, and the shuttle had a minimum waiting time. Driving our vehicle into Crowme Parking rather than taking the bus saved us money and time. We will definitely consider doing this again on our next trip.

(August 31, 2009) My husband and I went out of town recently and used the Crowne Plaza hotel for parking. It was great!!! We experienced no problems at all. It's definitely a hidden gem. The shuttle buses ran on-time like clock work every 30 minutes. We will definitely use this again for future trips!!!

Convinient and Easy IF YOU TRAVEL LIGHT

(August 31, 2009) This was the first time using this location. Very convenient location with easy access to the airport. The airport bus leaves from the lobby (NOT THE PARKING AREA) on the half hour. Recommended only if you are traveling light and can time your parking; lugging your luggage into the lobby and be ready to board your bus on the hour and half-hour.

Your not saving any Money! Don't do it.

(August 20, 2009) Well they claim to run shuttles every 30 mins, we showed up @ 7:20pm shuttle should run at 7:30 right? wrong, we are informed that the driver is taking lunch and will start again at 8:00 or so (or so?) after speaking with the staff they agreed to cover a cab to the airport....by now it is almost 8:00. Trip home, we Return to airport call the desk and they give us the location of the shuttle, we show up the shuttle is full and there is no less that 30 people trying to get a ride to there room or car...driver had no idea and front desk at hotel said we would have to wait, How long....no one knew, We grap a cab back 14 dollars asked the front desk to cover the cost and they said we where out of luck....Not only did they lose my car parking business but I will never stay at the Crowne Plaza, they don't have a clue what is going on! SAVE YOUR MONEY....stay somewhere else you will be glad you did.

(August 19, 2009) When I arrived at the hotel, the assistant at the front desk was not helpful at all. There were no signs on where to go and because the gate was not up to stop me, I came in through the wrong entrance. It would have been nice to feel like I was a welcomed guest at Crowne Plaza rather than a nuisance. I know I wasn't staying in one of the rooms, but a little courtesy would have been nice. the instructions on what to do and what I needed to pick up my car was very vague. I appreciate the shuttle and the price was reasonable.

(August 18, 2009) The only problem is on your return to O'Hare. The shuttle bus zone is not marked very clearly (O'Hare's fault, not Crowne Plaza's). If you stand directly in front of the Hilton, you are at the right place. Also, make sure you pay at the front desk, not at a kiosk, upon return. Otherwise it is a great deal with very good service!

Easy access and great rate

(August 17, 2009) This was the easiest parking that I have used - it was a short trip off I-90 and a short trip to the terminal. The rate is really good. We timed the shuttle good - I could see this as an issue if you just missed it and had to wait another 30 minutes.

(August 5, 2009) Made reservations after reading some of the online reviews-was pleased with the ease of the system. The only thing is that the shuttle to the airport leaves the hotel on every half hour promptly(wasnt too pleased that the driver didnt wait for us) So, try to arrive close to the half hour to catch the shuttle or you will have to wait 30 mins for the next one! (We caught a cab). When we arrived back in Chicago, the wait for the r/t shuttle was about 10-15 mins. In short,its a good deal. Dont forget to make your reservations online for the $7.50 rate.

(August 4, 2009) I had an excellent experience. The price was less than half of the airport long-term. The transportation was prompt in both directions. The only suggestion I would have is that the hotel signage is not clear; I had to walk through the hotel to meet my family from the rear parking lot and made several wrong turns, since there was no clear directions to the lobby. It appears that you could automate the process by having a machine scan your entry ticket and just ask for a credit card for the balance.

Airport parking review

(August 3, 2009) Arrival early in the morning was great. No problems parking and shuttle was right on time. Return was different. Shuttle driver seemed put out that there we many more people waiting to get on the bus than there was room for and was short with complaining customer who were not able to get on the bus and had to wait until the next bus. Once we returned to the hotel we had to wait for almost 25 minutes behind a large line of people checking into the hotel so we could pay for our parking and leave. We probably will not utilize your parking service again

(April 2, 2009) We just moved here from Dallas, TX a year and a half, so it is the first time we had to find a place to park the car at the airport. Due to the rates of airport parking, we chose your hotel. The parking was easy except, we were not sure how to get to your parking area, but after we called your desk, it went very smoothly. Park it Right here

(March 25, 2009) We used Crowne Plaza parking services for the weekend we went to Massachusettes. The price was excellent, the location nice and close to the airport. The courtesy of the Crowne's personnel from the desk to the drivers, was superb. Great job to them all. Keep in mind if you are using this type of parking for the first time, remember to get your "in the lot" ticket validated by the front desk before you leave. This is where the discount kicks in and makes all worth it. We pretty much plan on this being our primary parking plan for all future outings, and if needed, a great hotel to stay at as well.

(March 14, 2009) It was a great service and I will use it again. Finding the shuttle for the trip back to the hotel was problematic, as the signage at the airport is not great. Telling folks to pick it up across from the Hilton hotel might be more helpful as the shuttle station is directly across the street from the OHare Hilton. Or providing a site map of the shuttle station for customers in relation to Terminal 1 or 2..where it is closest. Other than that it was good.

(February 27, 2009) We were pleased with the parking, everything was on-time with no delays and we would use your service again. The only thing that was a little confusing for the first time was finding my way back from the parking garage. There were no clearly visible signs to follow.

Remote, remote parking

(February 25, 2009) About Airport Parking made this easy, but the lot is less than ideal. The lot is simply the lot for the hotel and there is no signage indicating that it is airport parking. There was an outdoor lot and a covered, ramp lot and it was unclear whether extended-stay airport parkers were allowed to park in the covered area. I ended up parking in the covered area and I wasn't towed or ticketed, but it left me a little anxious over my vacation. The other problem is that you have to walk quite a ways from the covered lot to the hotel entrance and the path was not well-marked at all. This wouldn't have been a problem except for the 30-below windchill that day. We ended up going the wrong way and wound up at the wrong hotel....where we were still able to catch an airport shuttle, thankfully. I think the hotel just needs to make the process a little clearer.

Parking was fine

(February 22, 2009) a little confusing getting from the lot back to the hotel. Also, we flew in from mexico but were told upon return to go to the shuttle bus area (terminal 2 at ohare) for pickup only to ride back to the intl terminal where two folks were picked up - more that likey it was all my confusion -as for the parking and the service - it was all good - a great deal and, not that I know my way around, will be using this service on a ll future vacation trips. Staff member at the hotel was extremely helpful (i lost my ticket!) and friendly. All in all a good experience.

(January 26, 2009) I called the number but somehow thought it was the marriott so took the wrong shuttle....being jet lagged from Ireland and all that. Crowne Plaza sent their shuttle to pick us up at Marriot down the street but it took almost 45 minutes....It would be nice if they gave you a card with the information on it when you left your car there and took their shuttle to the airport...this never would have happened if I had a card like that. thanks.

(January 5, 2009) This is the 3rd time my wife and I have used this parking when traveling out of O'Hare, not only is it one of the cheapest but one of the most reliable. Well worth using if you are traveling out of O'Hare.

(January 2, 2009) While I was hoping for covered parking, I was unfortunately not succesful. However, I did easily find a non-covered space and didn't encounter any problems. I did have to wait about 20 min. for a shuttle on my return.

Been better

(December 31, 2008) I've parked at this hotel before but never had as many problems as I did this time. Coming back from the airport I waited about 40 minutes for a shuttle (they advertise ever 20 minutes) on a windy day. When I called, I was told it was just leaving, then another 20 minute wait. The only good thing was that I wasn't charged for additional time because of the extra waiting I was forced to do. So far I've seen their service going down instead of getting better.

It took a while for the bus.

(December 30, 2008) It took a while for the bus. The bus driver said there would be help if my car did not start. I was on hold for 10 minutes, only to find out there would be no help after all.
