| (January 17, 2012) Recently had eight nights with my car at the Crowne Plaza..Hidden bonus is the ability to use the garage in potentially bad weather (with no price difference)..I landed a day after a snow storm and my car was clear..
One caution - they do not make it clear you need to call the hotel if you land at Terminal Five..This involves a special stop...Luckily I called them off a hunch; otherwise I might still be waiting out in the cold..Just a small point, though.. |

| (January 3, 2012) I parked here for about 6 nights. The car was safe when I got back. That's a 5 star.
Shuttle: They say it is for every 30 mins on the hour. In actual, from the hotel, it is about 5-10 mins late. At the airport, the shuttle arrived on time, but the driver was pretty rude. If you were a single passenger with a carry-on, you would have been asked by the driver to put the carry-on in the trunk (which had a big queue) and then board the shuttle, by then the shuttle would have been full. Luckily for me, we were 2. So one stood in the queue for loading the bags and one stood in the queue for boarding the bus and finding a spot to sit. Even at freezing temperatures, the driver didnt open the door for passengers to get in. He first concentrates on baggage. One of the passengers was asked to get off the bus 'coz there was no place to sit, while all his reamining friends boarded. Sounds insane!!!
Reception desk: Again, ppl for just 'car parking' arent dealt with in a proper way compared to the ppl for hotel check-in. They make money out of car parking too. We should be treated in a properly.
Overall, if you can bear with all these, this place is a good one. Close enough to the airport and they have a good no. of spots (both open & covered). Last time, I was lucky enough to get to the covered parking. Not this time though.

| (December 19, 2011) I enjoy the inexpensive indoor parking at the Crown Plaza. I waited 25 minutes for a shuttle bus. They only run every 1/2 hour. I wish they ran every 15 minutes. If you want to park there, book early, like 2 weeks if you can. During peak times they get full quickly. |

| (November 1, 2011) It was very easy to make the reservation for parking at this hotel. The rate was reasonable (much cheaper than trying to take a bus for 4 down to O'Hare). The hotel was easy to find and there was plenty of safe parking available. We timed it right and the shuttle was there quickly after we arrived. Finding the Bus Shuttle at the airport was a bit confusing, but we caught the shuttle immediately once we found it! Waiting to pay took awhile, especially when we were all tired and hungry, but that was minor considering everything else. Will definitely remember About Airport Parking and the Crowne Plaza Hotel for parking in the future. |

When we returned, we waited at the airport for 55 minutes until the shuttle showed up. Again, the driver was cautious and friendly.
Not a bad deal compared to paying airport parking lot rates!
And...the shuttle was very comfortable! |

| (October 25, 2011) This was an economical alternative to parking at the airport itself. Outbound, the shuttle was available immediately. We did not get clear instructions about how to get from the parking lot back to the hotel, and I did not see signage (though maybe it was there). Inbound, we waited 20-30 minutes for the shuttle. When we returned, I handed the desk clerk the parking ticket, but there was confusion about whether I was checking in for the hotel. Little glitches; not particularly significant but enough to make my rating 4 stars rather than 5. It will be easier next time.

Didnt understand pro-rate concept at all. I understand the wait because it was Sunday afternoon but no explanation was given as to why the long wait and when I called the hotel 3 times it was auto phone and I could not talk to anyone live. Very bad>. Car was ok when I picked it up. OTHER THAN THIS THE PROCESS WAS OK. | (September 12, 2011) Parking worked out good, shuttle took us to the airport effortlessly. Coming back from an international flight, I didn't see any "service phones in the baggage area" that I was supposed to use to call for the shuttle. We called the phone number listed on the reservation print-out instead, and the shuttle was there shortly, so it all worked out quite well. Getting our luggage from the shuttle stop in front of the hotel to our car was some work. I would have liked to leave my traveling partner with the luggage at the front of the hotel and pick her up, but couldn't figure out how to get out of the parking lot and back to pick her up, so we just hauled the luggage to the parking lot. |

| (August 14, 2011) Getting into lot was a little confusing due to road construction. Otherwise you have access to the entire parking structure for the hotel (covered and uncovered). Leaving the lot was a challenge. To use your about airport parking pre-paid deposit and locked in rate, you need to go into the hotel and pay at the front desk as there are no parking attendants in the lot. Once you pay, then you take their ticket and put it into the box at the exit to open the gate. Overall, price was good, user friendly- not so much. |

| (July 14, 2011) It was very convenient to park at the Crowne Plaza hotel and get to the airport. The shuttle was on time, the driver was helpful with luggage. When you leave the parking lot, it isnt' clear where to pay. I found that confusing. Also, I arrived in terminal 1 where I did see signage for the shuttle bus center. But, what is not explained in the directions on the website is that the shuttle center was accross the street and down a block. Basically directly in from of the Hilton hotel. I walked around feeling lost until an airport employee explained to me where to find 'Door # 2'. That is how it was listed on the website with no other information.
I would recommend to others, just be clear where you pick up the shuttle at the airport.

The crowne plaza shuttle runs every 30 mins. Where as other hotels run continuously. I just missed the shuttle so i had to wait 45 mins till next shuttle. The shuttle came driver opened doors to van. Then i turned around and picked up my luggage. Then van was gone like a bat out of hell. Had to wait another 30 mins till next shuttle. I complained to the hotel manager. Who was very professional and heard my discontent. He paid for my parking and made me feel better. I will stay at the crowne plaza again. But about parking i dont think i will use it again. |

2. System was down --> ticket didn't work at lot exit gate --> instructed to push help button but no response first time.

| (March 14, 2011) I was disappointed with my first experience with Crowne Plaza. When we arrived the security guards at the gate told us "you will have a hard time finding a parking spot in the outside lot, but there were plenty of parking spots available in the garage". When we went into the garage we found that a small area of the garage was able to be used for this type of parking, and there were absolutely no spaces available in the garage. As my daughter drove around the parking lot, I went inside to talk to the front desk. They told me "we have an event going on which is taking up parking spaces, but the guards in the lot will find you a place to park". I go back out to talk to the security guards who did not believe me that there were no spaces left in the garage. So one of them took off to look for himself. After waiting for him to get back to confirm I was correct, they had me pull over a pile of snow/ice to park in a spot that wasn't really a spot. My vehicle ended up having one tire up on the pile of snow/ice and sat like that for the 6 days I was gone. We had to unload the luggage from the car like this. When we went back inside I asked the front desk why they would let people that are there for "the event" park in the area intended for long term parking. They did not have an answer. When the shuttle arrived we went outside with our luggage and waited for the driver to unload the luggage of the people he brought back, after which he turned to all of us waiting to get on the shuttle and told us we would have to wait for tne next driver, since he was done for the day. Fifteen minutes later, the next driver showed up. Luckily we made sure to have pleny of time for our flight, because all of this made parking of the car much longer than I ever imagined.
The return was uneventful and payment was quick and easy. My car was safe and secure.
There just seemed to be a general lack of concern from both the parking attendants and the front desk about the lack of spaces available.
The price was fine, but I would pay a little more to deal with someone who paid a little more attention to details such as actually having spots available. |

Our shuttle to ohare was already there ready to go I think we were on our way to the airport within 15 mins of arriving. On the way back our shuttle was about 15-20 mins late since they are suppose to be there for pick up every 30 mins. Once it finally arrived the shuttle was completely full leaving a couple passengers to wait for the next shuttle. When we arrived back at the hotel with approximately 20 passengers we all had to wait in line to pay for our parking with only 1 person behind the desk which for me was the most frustrating since it took almost 30 mins to pay and I was in the middle of the line. For most people they like to get home as soon as possible after a long day at the airport. On the bright side the price is great and its close to the airport. |

I found a place to park immediately, the shuttle was right there ready to go. On the way back, it was more confusing, finding the place to be picked up. And then there was a huge amount of people that needed a ride to the hotel or their cars. They needed 3 buses to get everyone. It got very crazy for a bit. It was cold, it was late, and it was Christmas. People were getting angry. Everything ended up just fine, but it just took a while to get through the process of getting to my car and on the road. |

We went into the attached parking garage, but got to a dead end and had to turn around. When we asked at the front desk they said in a rude way, "first come first served". We ended up waiting on someone to leave in order to park, hauled our bags to the front of the hotel, and barely made the next shuttle. When we arrived home the shuttle was late at least 15min. Which would not have been a big deal if it was not 25deg in the Chicago winter.
I will not be parking in this lot the next time. |

When a bus arrives with 6 parties on it and there is only "one" front desk clerk working it is a recipe for an inefficient and frustrating process. If you are going to be understaffed then I would recommend you look at utilizing automation for customers to pay their parking fees (eg. a kiosk). |

| (October 21, 2010) The parking was easy and convenient. The shuttle to the airport was 15 minutes. I waited about 25 minutes for the shuttle on the return. It came on the quarter hour. When you return to the hotel you pay at the registration desk and get a ticket that allows you at exit the parking lot. |

| (October 19, 2010) Great place to park, easily accessible (close) to O'Hare. I couldn't beat the price when comparible to the alternatives. The service was friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the driver of the shuttle on the way to the airport threw the bunge cord I had around my childrens' carseats on the ground instead of handing it to me. I know he may have been in a hurry to load up, but I was standing right next to my luggage. Other than this incident, I loved it and would defintely recommend it (and use it again).

| (September 25, 2010) Prompt shuttle service both to and from the airport. I only wished there was a separate line to pay for airport parking at the hotel. My shuttle from the airport to the hotel had 12 people coming in as hotel guests so it took some time to register each guest and give them keys to their rooms. Thus, a long line and wait to pay for my parking. If there was a separate line or an automated machine to pay for my airport parking I would have given them 5 stars. |

| Confusing |
| (September 21, 2010) I put down a deposit online and printed a pass allowing me to park for $7.50/day plus tax. That's a very reasonable price. When I arrived, parking was easy to find and use--it's self-park and uncovered. The confusion came when I prepared to leave. There were no instructions about how to use the pass for which I had made a deposit. At the exit, the machine said I owed $19 for the day. There was no attendant and the machine could not read the bar code on my pass for $7.50/day + tax. So I pressed the "help" button, since I wasn't going to pay $19. An unintelligible automated message replied several times. I was glad no one was behind me in line at the exit, since it took a while. I pressed the "help" button again and heard the same voice a couple more times. After maybe a minute or two, another voice spoke--again unintelligible, but this time I think it was an actual person. Then the exit gate was raised, allowing me to leave without paying. So my only cost was the deposit I paid online. I have no idea how or whether I was supposed to pay the difference between my deposit and $7.50 + tax. I would rate this a 1 star based only on the confusion, but 5-star based on my actual cost. So I settled on 4 stars. |

| (September 15, 2010) Our last experience with this parking service is not positive. Unfortunately, when the shuttle arrived at the airport, there were more people than the shuttle could hold. This meant waiting another 1/2 hour for the next shuttle, in which we were not guaranteed a seat either. We decided to take a cab back to the hotel instead of wait longer for another shuttle. The hotel should run more than 1 shuttle on peak times. |

| (September 9, 2010) while I appreciated that the shuttle left to and from the airport at the times advertised, every half hour, i was disappointed in a couple of things about my experience. First, I would have liked to know ahead of time where my car was going to be parked, in relation to where the shuttle was. It was a bit of a distance and I had to race to get there. This could be communicated with a simple map on the contract, indicating where the parking entrance is and where the shuttle is. I was also really concernced when I went to leave the parking lot and the at the liftgate, the machine asked me to pay $88. My contract suggested that I only had $32 left on my balance for my stay. I put my credit card in and it charged me, before I realized my mistake. So I had to go inside the hotel and wait in line to explain the problem to the registration desk. The man there, proceeded to charge me the $32 saying it was a different system and I would have to call the accounting officeto get my $88 back and it was explained on my contract not to pay at the parking lot. There was nothing on the contract to suggest where payment should be made. The next day, I had to call the accounting office where the patient employee looked through several different websites looking for my parking agreement. Finally she called back to tell me that my $88 had been credited back to me. Overall, that was not a convenient experience, but with a little communication prior to my stay, it could have been. |

| Can't beat the price and service |
| (September 8, 2010) I was completely thrilled with the service and what a great deal on the price of parking for 3 days! I paid under $30 dollars for 3 days and wasn't worried about my vehicle at all. The shuttle says every 30 minutes but a simle call and it took 10 minutes for a pick up. From curb to car, I was pleased! I will take and recommend the Crown Plaza in the future! |
