excellent

(January 4, 2010) Had a pretty messed up vacation this Christmas due to weather, cancellations, delays etc. The only thing that worked was the Crown Plaza Hotel parking. The location is very convenient, the staff is polite and helpful, the price is great. I will definitely use this service again.

it was alright

(December 31, 2009) the shuttle service was excellent and the people at the front desk were very helpful. however it was difficult to park and navigate through the parking garage. there was a lack of signage as to where i can and cannot park and directions back into the hotel entrance. i eventually found my car safe but it was a small source of stress at the end of my trip.

Great Place to Park

(December 31, 2009) I had no problems with using Crowne Plaza at all. The staff were all friendly, and since we do not live in Chicago, having a hotel near the parking was nice when our return flight was late and the weather was bad. Perhaps the only downside is that the shuttle pick-up is only every half-hour. But knowing the schedule of pick-ups is better than waiting and hoping for someone to show up like other parking lots I've used. I plan to use them again in the future.

Great place to park

(December 31, 2009) I have used the Crowne Plaza Ohare on two occasions to park my car for one week durations. Each time, the experience was an excellent one. The location is ideal, closer than long term parking to Ohare, and shuttle drivers and hotel staff very pleasant and welcoming. As far as I know, it is less expensive than airport onsite parking too.

(December 29, 2009) Hotel is nice, and staffs are also nice. There are 2 minor problems. 1) Machine at the gate. I believe there are 4 gates, and 2 of them are not working. Like can not print parking ticket or using paid ticket to open gate. 2) Shuttle bus. On the way to the airport, too many people waiting for the shuttle. So some people were asked to take the next shuttle. Of course they were not happy, especially they are catching the plane. When I came back, I waited 29 minutes for shuttle. It will be nice if this can be shortened.

(December 25, 2009) It was much easier than I could have expected. Literally you pull into the lot, park and go get on the hotel shuttle. My only complaint was that the shuttle ran every half hour so if you just missed it you would be waiting for another half hour. Additionally, the driver went to the airport and waited 10 min to pick up anyone who may need to be picked up prior to dropping me off for my flight. Thankfully I wasn't in a rush, but since I was the only person in the shuttle it would have been nice to be dropped off for my international flight prior to waiting for what turned out to be no one needing a pick up. I would definitely do it again. It is critical, however, that one is not in a rush.

Poor shuttle service, unprofessional representatives

(December 22, 2009) I select this parking lot due to its low prices and good reviews, but it turns out to be a nightmare. The root cause in my opinion is that it was run as a side business. I departed in the early morning and the shuttle was nearly empty. However the shuttle had too little room for luggages and it would became a problem when I return. My return flight was at night. When I arrived at the shuttle center, it was already in chaos, sworms of people waited the shuttle for the crown plaza hotel. No line was formed and a lot people rushed to get on, the shuttle left many guests behind even though the seating area had room because the luggage compartment was full. The shuttle runs every 30 mins which is a long time when you have to wait in 20 degrees at the terminal. I was not able to get on and had to call a cab, that erased all the savings and cost me a lot more than a regular full service parking lot. When I arrived at the hotel, a long line of hotel guests already formed at the front desk, there is no cashier to serve the parking lot users and I have to wait in the same line as the hotel guests checking in. When it was my turn, the rep told me he could NOT handle transactions for parking and ask me to wait in another line. What a joke, I will NEVER use this parking lot again. Unprofessional service. If you beleive your time had any value, don't use it. You are competing with hotel users for the shuttle and front desk, not worth the savings.

NEED A FASTER WAY TO EXIT

(December 22, 2009) Arrived back to Hotel parking on 12/19 and was with a large group arriving from Europe. When I arrived at Hotel I was informed that the only way to pay my parking fee was at the front desk. The time I had to wait to pay my fee was 25 minutes. I think a online payment option or a designated area other than the front desk would be better. Other than the time issue it worked out fine.

Never park here

(December 18, 2009) I was lured to this parking place by it's relatively low rates. We came back from our vacation and went to the shuttle station at 7 pm. We did not see the shuttle for a while, so we called the hotel, and were told that shuttle should be there every 15 minutes. We waited and made calls again. Several other people were doing the same. Finally the shuttle arived at 8:05! I think I would have been home had I parked elsewhere. Do not park here.

Could not have been better

(December 16, 2009) Even though this was my first time everything went very smoothly. Dropping the car off, getting on the shuttle, and getting picked up after the trip went exactly as described and anticipated. I will definitley use this service again for all my travels.

(December 12, 2009) I would highly recommend Crowne Plaza airport parking.They are very close to the airport and a shuttle runs every 30 min.We came back from our trip around 11pm and the shuttle was there waiting. Price was great.I would definitely use them again.

Convenient Parking for O'Hare Flights

(December 10, 2009) I can't express my satisfaction with my recent parking at Crowne Plaza Hotel!! I was SO convenient and everyone there was VERY helpful. We had the same driver coming and going to the airport, and he told us on our return how to get on I-294 so easily! We I stepped into the hotel to pay my parking fee, I was greeted by several employees in a very kindly manner. I told them if I ever was flying out of O'Hare again and had to stay overnight..........it would definitely be the CROWN PLAZA!! I do hope to take another trip in the future, and now have decided it is easier to fly out of O'Hare than Midway!! Thanks for all your kind help. You have a great organization of employees!!

A Mixed Experience

(November 11, 2009) We arrived for parking an hour late due to unanticipated traffic problems and our international flight was loading in 20 minutes. Crowne Plaza's van was stuck in traffic but, without prompting, they paid for a taxi to get us to the airport quickly. No questions asked. Upon our return, we called for pickup and they said they would be there in 15 minutes. Forty minutes later they arrived with a van already filled. Once back at the hotel, we waited 20 minutes for checkout. Clearly, the time delay on our return seemed excessive but it appeared to be due to a glut of returnees rather than anything Crowne Plaza could have avoided.

Parking and Stay

(November 11, 2009) The parking was very easy to manage for our trip. We were able to get to and from the airport by shuttle in a timely manner with courteous and helpful drivers. Our wait time on the return was less than 15 min. We also stayed at the hotel which was not only convenient and comfortable but also a fun experience having some time to relax in the lounge after the late evening arrivals.

Overall favorable experience

(November 8, 2009) Parking situation worked out well in general. Plus points: competitive rates, efficient shuttle to/from the airport, pleasant service by staff. Things that could be done better: better signage directing people to parking areas (especially if they are there just for airport parking, not guests of the hotel - something that says "airport parking" would be great!), and shuttles that run every 20 minutes rather than every 30 minutes. All in all, though, worth the money; I'll be a repeat customer.

Cost efficient parking

They dropped us off at our terminal & were right on time picking us up from the airport. The access to the car was terrific. The staff was excellent as well. Any time we travel out of O'Hare, we will definitely use them again!

(October 29, 2009) This parking deal is a good deal. There is a bit of a walk from the main desk at the hotel (where you must check in and pay) to the parking lot. The car is parked outdoors. The car was in good condition when I returned. The staff was friendly.

I got impatient waiting for the bus on my return but finally decided that if I was really in a burning hurry I could take a cab. By that time, the bus arrived and I was back at my car in no time. (October 22, 2009) - Once I found the hotel and understood the process of paying, it all went fine. Front desk folks were great. - The rate was excellent, saved a bundle over ORD parking. But I wish you wouldn't charge for a whole day when the last day was only 3-4 hours. - I had trouble at ORD locating the bus/shuttle area. But now that I know, that problem won't happen again. The ORD people didn't help much, and all your voice message would have to say is 'located across road from Hilton hotel'. _ YES, I would use this service again.

(October 21, 2009) With a gate to get in and out of the parking area, I feel my vehicle is safe. Although I had a little trouble getting in because the gate was not opening and the machine was not giving me a ticket and I had to call for help. Everything went well after that and I will continue to use this parking lot.

The only drawback was the frequency of the shuttle - unless you arrive on the hour or half past the hour, you have to wait for about 30 minutes. Once you take care of that, it is quite convenient and better than the expensive long term lot at O'Hare.

(October 15, 2009) My Mother and I travelled on Friday, 10/9/2009 and, in the interim of trying to catch the shuttle, my Mother had misplaced her purse. Needless to say, it was not a good start to our trip. However, the staff at the front desk was very helpful, and the shuttle driver tried to assist in searching within the luggage to no avail. When we reached one of our connections, I had a voice mail from the Crowne Plaza's front desk associate, Irena, advising me that my Mother's purse had been found. It was quite a relief and we were able to continue on to enjoy our trip. I have never parked off site to get to the airport in the past but, from now on I will and recommend the Crowne Plaza parking services to others.

(October 14, 2009) The parking was very cost-effective and nothing happened to my vehicle while I was gone. Furthermore, the airport shuttle was very convenient. The only thing that was confusing is what to do when you first get there. For all those who aren't sure, just go through the gate and take a space. It is a little "disconcerting" since they have up $17-$20 per day when it was around $7.50, but at the end when you return and you pay at the counter, they'll give you a barcode to use to scan your way out. (There is a kiosk that you can use near the parking lot on the inside, but I just went to the counter) I was gone 9 days, so the cost racked up, but for a shorter stay I'd recommend it.

(October 1, 2009) We had a great experience parking at the Crowne Plaza for 4 days while on a trip to Houston, everyone was pleasantly friendly and helpfull from the hotel front desk to the shuttle driver. We will certainly do it again!! It only took 25 mins from landing to being on our way home how is that for convenience?

(September 30, 2009) The airport parking area needs to have more directions . . . once we saw the hotel, there were no signs directing us to the airport parking. Then when we got back, it took the shuttle 45 mins. to pick us up, even tho the shuttle was supposed to be there at the 1/2 hour and the hour, it came at 15 mins. past the hour. The good things were our car was safe and the price was right.

Will use again

(September 28, 2009) Parking our car at the Crown Plaza Hotel near O'Hare Airport was easy and very economically priced. The only downside was not really an issue, but it was our arrival time. We got to the bus pick up area at the airport at around 4:45 PM and must have just missed the bus and had to wait about 25 minutes for the next bus to come, but other than that we had no complaints at all.

(September 23, 2009) Departure: I got there and the staff was friendly and gave good information.. I got there quickly to my destination. Arrival: I was not aware that you had to go to the building with the red structure.(Across from the Hilton) I called to make sure where I was supposed to go and I was told "Door 2 level 2" This is was incorrect... It door 2 level 1 (street level) this caused me to miss the first bus...I was not too happy. But with the price, and now being experienced, I should not have a problem in the future. I will use them again.

Inconsiderate

(September 23, 2009) Upon arriving back at 12:30 a.m., I noticed I had a flat tire. I went in and asked the front desk for help.There were three men employees standing around talking. They all said they didn't know how to change a tire and went back to talking. I asked the young man behind the counter if he could call someone for me and I went outside to get my things out of the car to reach the tire. After 45 minutes, my sister went in to check on someone coming and he never called anyone. My sister and I figured out how to change it.

(September 21, 2009) When I came back into town at midnight, I had a flat tire. Fairly new car, so must have picked something up in parking lot, as it wasn't flat when I parked. When I asked the three men at the desk for help, they informed me that they did not know how to change a tire. I asked for them to call someone. They did not.My sister and I figured it out ourselves. Could have cared less. Too busy talking.

Great choice for off-site parking

(September 10, 2009) This was my first time using an offsite parking facility. The price can't be beat at the Crowne Plaza Hotel for off0site O'Hare parking. The hotel staff was courteous and the payment transaction flawless when we returned. Make sure you have your computer confirmation sheet! The only minor downside is that the CPH shuttles only run every half an hour (on the half hour from the hotel), and that if you don't know where the shuttle bus pick-up area is at O'Hare, you will find yourself scrambling around the airport thinking it must be right at baggage claim by the taxis(It's not...it's across the road that loops around the arrivals level, right outside of the Hilton Hotel). Now that we know the ropes, we'll be more at ease with the set up. Just be prepared for some possible wait time for your ride. One other clarification on what to do when you drive directly into the CPH lot from Balmoral Road...the shuttle departs from the covered awning area at the FRONT door of the hotel, not from the covered awning area that is right by door on the parking lot side. Otherwise, we would definitely use the CPH again, particularly for longer trips!

NOT TOO BAD

(September 9, 2009) Easy and convenient. Only negative was that I had to call twice from the International terminal. First time I was told 20 minutes but called again after 35 and then shuttle finally arrived. Other than that, I would use them again.

Excellent Once Learned

(September 7, 2009) We found that the parking was convenient, and the shuttle had a minimum waiting time. Driving our vehicle into Crowme Parking rather than taking the bus saved us money and time. We will definitely consider doing this again on our next trip.

(August 31, 2009) My husband and I went out of town recently and used the Crowne Plaza hotel for parking. It was great!!! We experienced no problems at all. It's definitely a hidden gem. The shuttle buses ran on-time like clock work every 30 minutes. We will definitely use this again for future trips!!!

Convinient and Easy IF YOU TRAVEL LIGHT

(August 31, 2009) This was the first time using this location. Very convenient location with easy access to the airport. The airport bus leaves from the lobby (NOT THE PARKING AREA) on the half hour. Recommended only if you are traveling light and can time your parking; lugging your luggage into the lobby and be ready to board your bus on the hour and half-hour.

Your not saving any Money! Don't do it.

(August 20, 2009) Well they claim to run shuttles every 30 mins, we showed up @ 7:20pm shuttle should run at 7:30 right? wrong, we are informed that the driver is taking lunch and will start again at 8:00 or so (or so?) after speaking with the staff they agreed to cover a cab to the airport....by now it is almost 8:00. Trip home, we Return to airport call the desk and they give us the location of the shuttle, we show up the shuttle is full and there is no less that 30 people trying to get a ride to there room or car...driver had no idea and front desk at hotel said we would have to wait, How long....no one knew, We grap a cab back 14 dollars asked the front desk to cover the cost and they said we where out of luck....Not only did they lose my car parking business but I will never stay at the Crowne Plaza, they don't have a clue what is going on! SAVE YOUR MONEY....stay somewhere else you will be glad you did.

Great Parking Rates and Location

(August 20, 2009) This place was one of the most inexpensive parking locations close to O'Hare Airport. They have convenient shuttles 24 hrs. Checking out was a breeze also.

(August 19, 2009) When I arrived at the hotel, the assistant at the front desk was not helpful at all. There were no signs on where to go and because the gate was not up to stop me, I came in through the wrong entrance. It would have been nice to feel like I was a welcomed guest at Crowne Plaza rather than a nuisance. I know I wasn't staying in one of the rooms, but a little courtesy would have been nice. the instructions on what to do and what I needed to pick up my car was very vague. I appreciate the shuttle and the price was reasonable.

Great Parking

(August 18, 2009) The only problem is on your return to O'Hare. The shuttle bus zone is not marked very clearly (O'Hare's fault, not Crowne Plaza's). If you stand directly in front of the Hilton, you are at the right place. Also, make sure you pay at the front desk, not at a kiosk, upon return. Otherwise it is a great deal with very good service!

Easy access and great rate

(August 17, 2009) This was the easiest parking that I have used - it was a short trip off I-90 and a short trip to the terminal. The rate is really good. We timed the shuttle good - I could see this as an issue if you just missed it and had to wait another 30 minutes.
