Upon return, waited 20 minutes for the shuttle to arrive for pick up. Took the shuttle another 20 minutes to drive back to the lot. That's still 'ok'... Then, back at Johnny Park, after paying off everything, waited 25 minutes for the 'valet' service to get my car out!!! And got my car ONLY AFTER coming back to the counter to complain loudly -- I had been TOO polite maybe.
And BTW, they won't allow self park, you have to let them park your car in their super packed parking lots and drive it out for you.
Of course not everyone waited 25 minutes for their car, the fastest got it in 5 minutes. Someone who also had to wait for very long commented that it was because you must tip the driver generously even though you had no luggage.
The way they treat customers even made me worry what they would do to my car if I didn't tip the driver and the driver was in a bad mood. Pros: none compared to other places I used. Cons: de-service rather than service.

Use this service if you have extra time. It's slightly farther than I expected from LAX. When we returned to LAX, we had to wait over 45 minutes to be picked up. Their excuse is that they have only 3 shuttles operating in the morning. I was told they pick passengers up every 10-15 minutes. Won't use Johnny Park again. Do Not have your car washed. It's ridiculous. They don't wash your car. They just spray it with water. They do not dry it or clean your wheels. It's a joke. Pros: Use if you have time. Shuttle service is descent. Cons: Not timely. They don't have too many shuttles, so if you are running late, you will miss your flight. Car wash is a fraud. They just hose your car with water. Waited over 45 minutes to be picked up. No apologies. Bad service. Won't use again.

We have used Johnny Park many times to both park our car and to rent a car. Service was good and the prices can't be beat. Pros: We have never had to wait for a shuttle to the airport-shuttles and cars are clean-rental car service is good too-and the prices can't be beat. Cons: We have waited up to 20 minutes for pick up

I recently used the Valet LAX parking services at Johnny Park from Fri night to Sun night (Aug 17-19). I agreed to get the car wash service for my silver Nissan Altima.
However, when I waited to pick it up around 7:15 pm on Sun night, it took at least 35 minutes before my car came out. There was no explanation from the driver or the front desk about the reason for the long wait. I initially thought perhaps my car was behind a lot of other cars or they had trouble finding it.
I did notice another man with his 2 sons waiting almost as long as me, and when his white Silverado came out, he told his son not to turn off the engine since the car had been jumpstarted. So, somebody told this man what happened to his car, but for some reason, no one told me anything about my car. I drove my car home & it acted funny when i turned off the car & tried to lock the doors, but it finally locked, so I didn't think about it until the next morning.
When I tried to drive my car to work the next day, I realized that my battery was drained and dead. I was unable to go to work on Monday morning, my husband was late for work as well. And after we tried to jumpstart my car, it died within 10 minutes again when I stopped at a red light on top of a hill--and then started rolling downhill into the car behind me.
Long story short--it was a traumatic experience that could have been avoided in 2 ways.
1) When a carwash is done at Johnny Park, they should tell the washers to not keep the car on (lights, radio, doors open) for such a long time that the car battery is completely drained and actually dies.
2) If the valet workers discover that the battery is dead, they should jumpstart the car well before the expected return time of the car owner AND tell the car owner what happened--so that the owner can take special precautions to keep the car running until the battery is fully charged.
Pros: shuttle service was fairly quick Cons: poor treatment of the car (who drains a car battery & doesn't tell the customer?).

I have used Johnny park since they first opened (I think 4 years ago) and have never had a problem. They have grown about 1000x since I first used them. And with any company, growth can be a problem some times. Some of the others on this site that complain and want the best price and perfect service should go to Wally Park or the others that charge $20 a day to park. Some one said their car had a dead battery, sure like its their fault, think how mad you would have been if you went to the other lots and paid $20 to park and had a dead battery.. I found johnnyparklax.com web site. they have coupons , do not charge booking fees, etc.. best price, best service , I even saw an actor on the shuttle with me ( Steven Baldwin ) what a doll, He even talked to me on the way to the airport, I think he uses them all the time it seemed like he knew everyone.. it was really cool.. Pros: best price , service, and I saw an actor. Cons: not one

Parked here last year, only to find my lap top computer was stolen from the trunk while the car was valet parked in doors. BEWARE!!
Management could have cared less. My fault for not checking contents of trunk before leaving facility.

Don't use Johnny Park! Their parking attendant stole my GPS device from my vehicle while parked at their facility. I left several messages with Johnny Park to resolve the issue and no one will call me back.
They also parked my vehicle outside when I had requested and paid for indoor parking. Pros: None Cons: Theives!!!!

I have used this place 5 times. I had never thought to check my car for any dings or scratches. The 4th time I picked my car up I noticed 2 scratches. when brought to their attention I was told that it didn't happen there as they fill out a damage paper when they receive the car. I went the 5th time and walked through the damage listing process with them and made them sign the paper. When I returned to pick up my car, imagine that, 3 new scratches and 2 new dings. Again they tried to say the damage was already there so I pulled dout the damage paper and showed them that there was no damage, I even went a little farther and took pictures of my car in the lot before I left. I also presented the pictures. I was told that a manager would be getting in touch with me to ivestigate. OK to end this 5 months of going back and forth the investigation revailed they did not due the damage. BEWARE!!!!!!! Pros: close to airport Cons: unfriendly service, damage to vehichle, impossible for return phone calls, scam artists!!!

The shuttle took a very long time picking us up. We saw Wallypark drive by three times while we were waiting. When you call they just blow you off by telling you somebody is on the way.
Look your car over very carefully before driving away. They parked my car in an area where there weren't any lights when I picked it up. I couldn't have seen any damages unless I had a light.
My car had been parked in the indoor parking. Two days later I discovered a license plate frame outline embedded in my back bumper! My car had been parked in my garage since I picked it up, so I know they did the damage. As a matter of fact I noticed my front license plate was bent in, but didn't think much of it. It's evident they pushed my car up into the car in front of me, and pushed another car up behind me. I called and spoke to a manager, they said they limit paying for damage up to $250! They faxed me a claim form, but since then they have not returned any of my calls. I have called at least six times. The Manager is NEVER available and nobody knows the owners name. Pros: NONE Cons: Never use this company unless you drive a junker.

I've never had a worse experience! They've gone through several turnovers in management just over the course of the last couple of months - no wonder! Not convenient to the airport, non-responsive, slow and incredibly unprofessional! Pros: none Cons: EVERYTHING!
