Seattle-Tacoma (SEATAC): Thrifty Airport Parking

We've only used them once, but we had a good experience. We booked through Xpedia, so the rate was very cheap. The lot is convenient to the freeway and fairly close to the airport. We didn't have any trouble finding parking. The shuttles come by often and picked us up right by our car. When we returned, they brought us back to our car. Our battery was dead, so we had to ask for a jump start--no problem. The attendant wheeled a battery charger over and we were set to go in a few minutes. We used our prepaid Xpedia voucher without any problems. I would use them again, even if I had to pay full price. The shuttle service was fast. Our car was secure. The people were courteous. It was an easy, worry-free experience.

We have used Thrifty on many occasions. Though it can be a little more expensive, it is fenced in and almost always full..good sign.. There is a shuttle that makes it rounds thru the parking lot and comes to your car, so there is little to no wait for one to pick you up. They assist you with your luggage both on and off the vehicle. When arriving back to the airport, there is usually either a shuttle waiting for passengers, or one is not but 2-3 min away. You give the driver the slip they gave to you upon pick up (this has the space number your car is parked in) and they drive you right to your spot! No extra walking! You pay as you drive out. If you have AAA or military ID, there may be a discount (check with them, don't take just my word as things can change.) We have used them as well as others, and we would recommend them.

I used the valet service and waited almost an hour for them to locate my car. I had to track down and talk to 5 or 6 people because no one followed through or informed me of the reason for the delay. I asked the manager for a discount; he refused, stating that such a wait was not unusal. He did not even apologize for the inconvenience -- nor did anyone else there. This was a terrible parking experience.
