Located nine miles away from downtown Memphis, the airport is easy to get to from any direction. Travelers driving from the east or downtown Memphis with merge onto I-240 to Airways Blvd, while those coming from the north will take I-55 and from the south will take I-40 West to I-240 East. While Delta has held hub status at Memphis Airport for a long time (including a daily nonstop flight to Amsterdam), Delta recently cut back some of its flights to smaller destinations.
