The TRAX light rail Green Line stop is located at the south end of Terminal 1. A TRAX ride to downtown Salt Lake City will last about 15 minutes. In addition to the light rail, UTA also operates a few bus service lines to and from SLC. Busses drop off passengers at the UTA Welcome Center located at the south end of Terminal 1. You can also take the bus lines to a stop just outside of Terminal 2 next to bag claim number 8. Both the light rail and bus ride cost $2.50 for a one-way fare.


A taxi or rideshare service is another option when arriving at Salt Lake City International Airport. Because of its convenient location within the city, the rates for private car services are also reasonable. If you are driving yourself to SLC, the airport is only six miles west of downtown just off of Exit 115B or Bangerter Highway from Interstate 80. Expect a car ride to take approximately 10 minutes if traveling from downtown Salt Lake City.
